North Carolina's state and local public health and preparedness capabilities are tested, evaluated and strengthened on an ongoing basis. PHP&R main and regional office staff experts in disaster response, preparedness planning, epidemiology, pharmacy and industrial hygiene work with local health departments, hospitals, clinics and university medical departments to meet state accreditation requirements and national standards.
